Methos: The Man and The Myth
Methos is the oldest living Immortal, who took his first head five thousand years ago. Not even Methos himself however, seems to know how long he wandered around between that time and the time of his first 'death'. Methos is cynical, and sardonic with a love of good beer and a wicked sense of humor. He acts as a sort of sidekick to Duncan McLeod and insists he lost his conscience somewhere around the 11th Century.
Part of the appeal of Methos is his incredible mystique. After all, you can't expect that a man who is over five thousand years old won't have ANY secrets, can you? What we DO know consists of the following:

Comes A Horseman He was one of the four horsemen. 470-399 B.C.E. lifespan Messenger Possibly knew or was a friend of Socrates around this time. 372-289 B.C.E. lifespan Chivalry He knew Chinese philosopher and student of Confucius (551-479 B.C.) named Mencius. 100-44 B.C.E. lifespan Comes A Horseman He knew Caesar's favorite food (I assume Julius Caesar). 69-30 B.C.E. lifespan Messenger Perhaps knew the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. 1 A.D Rev6:8 He says he had not seen Silas in 2000 years, so we know the Horsemen were not together after this time. 38-68 A.D. Comes A Horseman We know Methos knew how tall Nero was who was the Roman emperor. 93 A.D. Finale Saw Christians facing the lions. 765 A.D. Till Death He crossed the Atlantic to Iceland with a bunch of Irish monks. c1000 A.D. Says he lost his conscience somewhere around this time. 1368-1644 A.D. Till Death He was in China during the Ming Dynasty. 1453 A.D. 1Min2Midnight Studied medicine in Heidelberg (Germany). 1817 A.D. Modern Prometheus Partied and read Poetry with Lord Byron, and Percy and Mary Shelley. c1900's A.D. Methusela's Rode with Butch and Sundance c1960-90's A.D.
